Severe weather in Houston created hazardous driving conditions this week, but it also brought out the best in people.
Houston Transtar traffic cameras captured incredible footage of a van trapped in rising floodwaters along the I-10 Katy Freeway.
Just as the situation seemed hopeless, the driver of a passing 18-wheeler stepped in to carefully push the stranded van to higher ground.
It is a powerful display of everyday kindness and a great reminder that no matter who you are, sometimes we all need a little help to get out of deep water.
